Scott Skinner’s Restaurant & Bar

Scott Skinner’s Restaurant & Bar is a family-owned and run traditional pub and restaurant, complete with a small function suite. Located in Banchory, around 18 miles from Aberdeen on the A93 towards Royal Deeside, it offers a welcoming setting for both locals and visitors.

Food is served all day from Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays), with a menu focused on quality and consistency. While dogs are not permitted inside the building (with the exception of assistance dogs), they are welcome in the outdoor beer garden, where meals are also served in suitable weather.

The building was originally known as New Banchory Farm before being converted in the early 1980s. It takes its name from James Scott Skinner, the renowned Scottish dancing master, violinist, fiddler and composer, who was born in Banchory in 1843.

Owned and operated by Ali and Lynne Strachan for nearly 30 years, Scott Skinner’s has built a strong local reputation for good food, drink and friendly service.
